So what is this thing, EDI. It stands for Electronic Data Interchange and it is method of sending and receiving data from customers and/or vendors. It happens at every small to mid-sized business: you have an opportunity to do business with a large customer…no wait, a VERY large customer. After the excitement calms down, the reality strikes you: this big new customer has lots of rules about doing business with them, particularly EDI. 810’s, 850’s, and 856’s are mentioned, along with ASN’s and ANSI x12 standards and you feel as though you are drowning in a sea of technology. Sound familiar? Well, don’t panic and don’t turn down the business quite yet. It doesn’t have to cost you an arm and a leg and there are ways to make this work more efficiently for you. We’ve done these implementattions for $10MM companies all the way up to $110MM companies and they can be quite painless. Let’s start the conversation!
